Welcome to my new website, "Gibby Talks Sports". On this website I will talk all sports, all the time. I will interview current and former athletes as well as talk college and professional sports.

Get to know me

My name is Jake Gibbs, I am a former collegiate baseball player who now writes and covers sports for a living. I work as a Sports Information Director here in Kansas, my job duties include: various aspects of the athletic department, more specifically media relations of athletic events, website maintenance, statistical and historical record-keeping, game day operations, social media, and graphic design work. I grew up playing sports my entire life, but I had an extreme passion for the game of baseball. I was a pitcher for over 14 years, and I competed as high as the NCAA DII level. I am a huge fan of all Texas professional sports, as I grew up in Northeast Dallas. I look forward to sharing my opinions, stories, and interviews with you!
